I will not start with explaining why content marketing is critical to your business. As we are gearing for 2019, that is obvious. You are reading this blog since you already are convinced that your business cannot survive without a solid content marketing strategy, so I will straight away get to the crux of this blog.
The purpose of Content Marketing has been the same over the years – to create engaging, useful and interactive content for users. Content must provide value; and you no longer can separate content marketing strategy from your SEO, PPC or Social Media campaign.
The ideas given below will be critical to make lead a successful content marketing program for your digital marketing needs in 2019.
- Make you content accessible
Ensure that your content is accessible across multiple devices and channels. It should especially be available across channels that your target users access. The mantra for next year’s content marketing plan is to make your content inclusive. Research the devices and channels that your target markets are hitting and ensure that you are present on these channels.
- Don’t assume that SEO is dead
You might have read, in several posts, that SEO is dead or on the verge of extinction. That isn’t true (at least in 2019). The purpose of both content marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is to attract traffic, convert and increase sales. The content marketing strategy must consider Search Engine Optimization techniques that also resonate with your target consumers.
We know, thanks to some of the past trends, that consumers have changed. They expect more personalization and the answer to the question – ‘what’s in it for me?’. Your content must be useful, informative, entertaining and engaging. Well, you may not be able to plug all these features in a single piece of content, but you must rotate and try to use the parameters to have your consumers glued to your content and identify with your brand.
Interact with your target users. Creative positive content related to your brand and service offerings and create positive conversations around it. Try to win the confidence of your audiences.
Trends show that videos, live videos and infographics are popular for people to get attracted to your brand. But going back to the point mentioned above, give them substance in the different forms of content that you are planning to produce in 2019.
- Use video ads in mobile apps
We all know that more and more users are using mobile devices. Video ads on mobile apps will impact your bottom for users who are checking mobile apps constantly. Your video ad must be relevant to the viewer and must be the right length. It’s a great new option to attract new prospects.
- Optimize for voice search
Voice searches are getting popular. Optimizing your website for voice search is a good idea going forward as an increasing number of people are using it. Don’t forget to use different combinations of the search terms.
Before the year ends, there might be more trends that may surface, and I assure you that I will do a follow-up of this blog in that case. For now, if you get the above pointers incorporated in your strategy there’ no stopping for your brand to get ahead and boost the sales. If you seek assistance to develop a winning content marketing strategy, we’re just a call away.

An insight into creating high-quality content with agile content marketing strategy.
Ready, Fire, Aim
As the average content strategy seems to move much more slowly than the other strategies implemented in your company, many companies are beginning to adopt something called an “Agile Content Marketing” strategy.
The single most important factor that will determine the success of this strategy is the degree to which you begin with the end in mind. In order to properly execute this strategy, one should begin by making an educated guess based on research about what approach to take, put out this content fully acknowledging that is has flaws, and focus on optimizing your content and your approach with the feedback you receive. In order to do this you need to begin by:
Take steps to obtain research
In order to make said educated guess, you need to know the story of your customer. Through interpreting data and other means of research, you can find out about who they are, what they’re buying, what they desire to solve their problems, and how you can relate that to a branch of products or services. Try and answer each one of these questions before going any further with this strategy
Put yourself out there
Even with all the research in the world you may not feel ready to launch. However, at some point you need to decide on an overall position for your website and finally release your planned content. Importantly to note, don’t let the size of the audience you are reaching erode your confidence. Having enough people to fill a small restaurant would be good enough to create feedback worth your while.
Develop your content by utilizing feedback
This is the most meaningful step to follow through with 100%. Give your customers what they actuallywant; not what you think they want, or what you want them to want. Eventually this process should boil down to a rise, wash, and repeat style of researching, creating, and upgrading. Yet, there one more step needed.
Never forget to create relationships
Creating connections with people allows you to grow your network and obtain a larger audience. Grow your social networks, create partnerships to promote content with others, and find creative ways to cultivate relationships with sites similar to yours.
This approach to content marketing is clearly called agile for a reason. It is incremental and begins with something somewhat simple or primitive. But always remember, your ultimately success depends on your audience, and your end goals.
